The Bible/Religion

After a drunken discussion the other night I decided to write down the results of what was said. The debate as i’m sure you have noticed by now was about Religion, specifically The Bible!

Question 1 - Is it fact of fiction?

Question 2 - Who wrote it?

Question 3 – Should we believe in it?

Let’s get started.

Scientists have proved that in the beginning there were dinosaurs roaming the Earth, they became extinct when a rather large meteor struck the planet and wiped them out.

So where did this “God created man and from him created woman with one of his ribs” crap come from? I thought it was proved we evolved from Apes?

Adam and Eve had two sons Kane and Able, “Kane slew Able moved to a foreign land and married” who did he Marry?

Here’s where I think the Bible came from.

One day there was a group of Men/Woman sitting round a table sipping wine, putting the world to rights, as we all have at some time I’m sure. And one of these people decided to write a book a story, that’s it and for some reason people took it too far.

Or was it a case of?

Millions of years ago when man first roamed the planet, killed dinosaurs for food and lived in caved (which is where I think that woman can’t do directions but do communicate well and vice versa for men comes from. The man, the hunter gatherer was out looking for foods miles from his cave, usually on his own could do what he set out to do and still find his way back. Where as woman stayed in the cave looked after the kids and talked to each other all day). Anyway, at night they used to tell stories round the campfire. As time passed and tribes grew so did the stories, and like a game of Chinese whispers what was said at the beginning got distorted. Now because these tribes comprised of only a small number of people (compared to today) these stories started to be believed to be true (tell someone something often enough they start to believe it). So in this aspect would this not be considered a “Cult?”

Jesus was crucified and then rose again. Don’t know about you, or maybe it’s because I watch too many movies, but would that not make him “The Living Dead/Zombie/Evil?)

I’m sure my ramblings shall continue for some time as I think of more stuff.

Here’s something else for you to read in the mean time.
